The Boston Show

When Boston was looking over all the pictures on my phone he asked, "why are there so many of me?"  Well because it's been the all about Boston month, I guess.

He has been looking forward to going to the BYU baseball game with cousin Daniel for months.  It was an experience he will not soon forget.  Daniel is as pure and gracious as they come.

The 2nd grade classes put on an adorable musical presentation for mother's day.  Boston sang his heart out and even did a little dancing and hand movements to go along with.  He seemed perfectly comfortable on stage (with the rest of the 2nd grade).

After we went into his classroom for muffins, games and book reading.  Boston refused to sit on my lap and was being a stinker about even hugging me for this pic.  He's quite stingy with his affection.  It's usually on his level.

He created this masterpiece of me.

He has loved his teacher, Mrs. Roberts.

We drove down to Vegas on a Saturday and back on Sunday so he could participate in this game with Angelo and his team.  They are looking for a guest player to go to their World Series tournament in California in June.  We needed to rule the option in or out so we made it happen.  I don't think Boston will be going to California but it sure was fun for him to get to play with Angelo and Coach Dan.  And we loved seeing the Sadie and Olive too.

And it just so happened that Mr. Rosensteel was at the same complex watching his nephew play baseball.  Boston's eyes lit up when he saw him.

Boston also received his Wolf award for scouts this past week.  We wanted to get it accomplished before we moved to be ahead of the game in one arena:)

He's doing the watermelon applause here.

We attempted to get some dental work done a month or so ago but Boston wasn't having it.  He wouldn't even breathe through the laughing gas mask.  Because of his size and determination, Dr. Pitts suggested we use an anaesthesiologist to knock him out.  I had to give him a Valium to calm him fears an hour before and the only reason he is smiling in the above pic is because of the Valium doing it's job.  He has been stressing this day for weeks.  Once we got to the office he was distracted by "bouncy balls" (all he can remember about the appoint which he says sounds so wrong) then he got a shot in the arm and was taken back where the iv was administered.  I didn't go back in the dental office with him and I felt a bit sad to just sit in the waiting room.  An hour later the Dr. Pitts came out and said everything went fine.  Such relief.  And this was only for a procedure to clip the piece of skin on his inner lip and a few cavities.  I can only imagine how parents feel with major surgery!

He was pretty funny under anesthesia.  Took a lot for us to get him to wake up enough to get him in the wheel chair.  I basically had to lift him in and then lift him into the van seat.  He was passed out.  By the time he came to he was loopy and disoriented.  He woke up in the middle of the night and puked and didn't stop until I called the dentist mid afternoon the next day to ask what to do.  We now know he doesn't take well to drugs.  The dentist called in a magic pill to dissolve under his tongue and he stopped puking.  What an ordeal!  Hopefully this will inspire him to brush and floss his teeth more often.
