Surf 'n Slide

We didn't let any grass grow underneath our feet. This day we were with Jodi (my sister) and Jenn (my sister-in-law) and their kids cooling off. The twins loved the boogie boarding and Boston turned into a fish. He fought swim lessons like no other so I was thrilled when he actually went under and loved it.

Sabbatical

As you can see I'm taking a blogging sabbatical which will probably last through the end of July. I forgot to bring my camera cords and plugs to Washington with me so when I do get around to posting, there will be lots of pictures and memories. Until then... I'm enjoying the break.

Spring Recital

Kennedy did such a great job at her recital performing Fur Elise. I recorded it but couldn't get it to up load? She is still practicing on a key board but that baby grand is on the horizon. I think once we get it, she'll have a true appreciation for it.

This is her teacher, Adrienne Daines and her little girl Antonia. Kennedy is almost as tall as her. She's a petite 5 feet tall so Kennedy is right on track for a 5th grader.

After her recital we went to PF Chang's and ate everything in sight. The days of doggie bags are long gone for us. The twins were asking for more when there wasn't any more. I think my grocery budget is going to have to double sooner than later.

That under bite is going to be expensive to fix. Kennedy has/had the same thing.

End of the School Year

We celebrated by spending the afternoon at the Hannum's swimming and riding the go-cart. The kids had the best time. Eric crammed himself into the g0-cart and gave rides to all the kids on the block. We found a baseball helmet to serve as protection.

I'm gearing myself up for a fun-filled summer with the kids. Hopefully I'll keep my sanity and stay out of the mental institute.

The Latest...

While at Kennedy's soccer practice the twins were wrestling with each other and Jackson said to Leighton while laying on top of him, "Hold still. I'm going to give you mouth-to-mouth."

Leighton is a little more mature lately and said to me while driving in the car (between the yelling and screaming that was going on), "I need to take a break. I want to fly on an airplane all by myself. Maybe Beau-Beau and Hudson can come pick me up?" (his cousins in Washington that are 12 and 9).

This is how the boys watch TV. I've had their eyes checked, no worries. It's just how they roll.

One morning while fixing Kennedy's hair she asked me, "Why don't I look like you?" I've wondered the same thing but I told her Boston looks just like her so if she was wondering if she was adopted, not the case.

She participated in a school variety show and played Fur Elise and did a fantastic job.

Boston changes like the wind. Whether it's his temperament or activity he chooses to do, I never know what's coming.

He doesn't play soccer officially but this is what he wears to all of Kennedy's soccer practices. And he usually falls asleep before we get there.

He likes to bite his toe and fingernails until there's nothing left.

He likes to dress up like Daddy and go to work at the computer (Eric doesn't work at a computer but does wear a dress shirt and tie). I guess he's combining what I do for "work" as well.

He hasn't officially joined wrestling either but loves to dress up in the twins singlet, head gear and shoes. He soo wants to be a part of it all.
