You Win Some, You Lose Some

 Boston's team, the Cowboys, went undefeated in their regular season and were division champs but sadly lost in the super bowl to the Ravens, 12 to 6.  It was a hard fought battle.  Normally we win by 40 something and the Ravens score even more points than that and their opponents don't score a thing.  So the fact that they only scored 2 touchdowns to our 1 was due to some tough defense which Boston held his own on. 

  

Only the blonde little guy below is younger than the Boss man.  He is quite a bit bigger than most but doesn't let that slow him down.  

I asked him to pose with me in a picture and he wouldn't even let me touch him.  He said it was embarrassing to be take a picture with your mom.  What?!  As you can see I am forced to keep my distance although I have been with him every step of the way - he didn't miss one practice or game!  That's true dedication on all parts.

 The twins brought home the WIN on Saturday, securing the championship trophy for Elite Sports Club super bowl!  They helped their team win 14-12, with all those points running the ball down the field, yard by yard.  Jackson and Leighton were shedding tears of joy with their teammates.  Out of the 5 teams within the Green Valley Knights Club, their team was the sole winner of the super bowl. 

This dad was moved to tears as well.  He motivated like no other through his coaching and yelling and even getting the fans to cheer.  He was yelling, "Defense!" from the sidelines and everyone would start cheering when he lead them.

 What a day to remember.

Grandpa and Grandma Bateman have been to almost game, showing their support.  The boys love to look up in the stands and see their grandparents and wave.

Check out those arms on Jackson!  That's what a serious game of football looks like.  I had to tell his teachers that I don't beat him.

Kennedy also had her final regular season volleyball game this day so I was back forth to the twins game and hers.  Her team went undefeated!  I am yet to get a decent volleyball picture from this season (sorry Kennedy).  Most of the time she isn't in the mood after the game for pictures.  She tried out for club volleyball a couple weeks ago and made the team.  However, there are practices and games on Sunday, and she decided she didn't want to commit to something that consumed her Sunday.  She made that decision all on her own.  She definitely has her priorities straight.

This past week has been a much needed break from practices as we normally have them every night of the week.  It's good to be involved but sometimes it becomes too much.

We are looking forward to Thanksgiving in Utah for a little cooler weather and time with family and friends.  Happy early Thanksgiving!
